The Agency Workers Regulations came into force on 1st October 2011 and provide for such workers to have the same basic working conditions and employment rights as if they had been recruited directly by the hirer. With the recent passing of the 12 week qualifying period, we will consider what steps employers need to take to ensure compliance with these regulations. We will provide practical advice in relation to their implication, including a review of entitlement to benefits, amenities and facilities, in addition to considering the possibility of justifying less favourable treatment.
