Book your free place at the next Manufacturing Champions event - connecting leaders from small and medium sized enterprises with our Champions from the manufacturing and engineering sectors.
During the session you'll hear from a Principal Practitioner at The Manufacturing Institute who will talk about Supply Chains and consider the potential benefits across quality, cost and delivery that can be gained by implementing an effective Supply Chain Management System. As important as putting such a system into practice is, it is also essential to monitor, measure and review its performance to continuously improve it.
Supply Chain measures help to improve the overall performance of the Supply Chain by identifying improvement opportunities. Many businesses are solely focused on cost as a measure, but this is only one aspect that should be measured. It is useful to consider the Supply Chain as a whole, and put in place measures that cover multiple facets of its performance ensuring that it can respond effectively to customer demand.
The Manufacturing Champions will talk about their experiences of managing Supply Chains within their businesses and delegates will then work in groups to examine and review their own Supply Chain.
The session will close with a tour of the J A Harrison facility, which will demonstrate some of the topics discussed during the event.
