Emotional resilience describes the mind-set that every person adopts in everything they do and are closely related to traits such as self-awareness, acceptance and collaboration.
Recent studies have estimated that failure rates for organisational change implementation range somewhere between 28% to as high as 70% (McKay et al 2013, CBI). The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) suggest that a lack of effective leadership and management capabilities is one of the biggest reasons for failure in this area.
We understand that leadership is a cornerstone of good people management and in turn, organisational success. By encouraging your leaders to continually learn and develop, we want to help your business achieve its ambitions and ensure a happy, healthy and sustainable cultureThis introductory workshop will help your leaders to explore the developing concepts of resilience and mental toughness, providing an overview of tools and processes that can help you assess, and understand, levels of resilience within your own organisation.

Bio of Deliverer
David has more than 25 years’ experience in business in a range of sectors including FMCG, Aviation, retail and training and development consultancy services. Organisations he has worked for or with include Walkers Snack foods, Pepsi, JCB, Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Scottish Power.
For the past 10 years he has been successfully designing and delivering leadership, organisational development, coaching, team, management, graduate and apprentice behavioural development programmes.
- As Director of Professional Development (with 12 direct reports) he grew an underperforming entity, increasing sale revenue (and associated Net Profit) from £1.4m to £2.0m over a two-year period
- His experience of leading, training and developing teams of up to 16 people through objective setting, performance review, appraisal techniques and coaching and development, knowledgeable of accounting, budget setting and cost analysis is well demonstrated by his successful autonomous control and growth of a £10million sales region for Pepsi/Walkers Snack Foods.
