May’s Business Growth Lunch is only one week away so don’t miss out on the opportunity to hear from accomplished business leaders who have extensive experience of increasing productivity in the Manufacturing sector.  The event will outline the business support, programmes and opportunities available to SMEs in Greater Manchester.

Terry Scuoler, CEO at EEF – The manufacturers’ organisation will talk about his experience of growing and promoting the UK’s Manufacturing and Engineering sectors that he has developed by working with businesses in the sector and being a member of several ministerial committees. Terry will share his vision for a modern post-EU manufacturing powerhouse that the UK can become with an effective and comprehensive industrial strategy.

Leanne Holmes, Operations Director at Cranes Payment Innovation will share the invaluable lessons she and her team have learnt along the journey to success. Leanne is passionate about attracting, growing and retaining skills and talent, not only within her
business, but also within Greater Manchester’s Manufacturing sector. She will share her expertise in this field and will talk about the work she has been doing with the Manufacturing Champions Network to encourage manufacturing leaders to take calculated risks in innovation and agility to respond to market needs.

Paul Holt, Manufacturing Advisor at the Business Growth Hub will explain how the Business Growth Hub can help manufacturing SMEs achieve growth through fully funded business
support, and grant funding.

Dave Benstead, Chairman of the Oldham Enterprise Trust will provide an update on the Oldham Engineering Alliance’s activities. He will also launch the ‘£1,000 to start your own business’ campaign available to Oldham-based businesses.

We will also be joined by Rebecca
Chedd, Environmental Business Advisor who will talk about the ‘Quick Wins for Energy Efficiency’ workshops taking place across Greater Manchester.

The event will be hosted by Hilary Centeleghe, Senior Growth Manager at the Hub who will provide an overview
on programmes for aspiring scaleups and retail businesses respectively.

Traditionally, there will be an opportunity to informally engage in business conversations with the speakers, the Business Growth Hub’s advisors, Oldham Business Leadership Group’s representatives and partners over a networking lunch.
