Silicon Valley comes to the UK (SVC2UK) is an industry supported event for students led by business leaders, investors and serial entrepreneurs. With talks and workshops on offer from an incredible lineup of speakers, it is designed to inspire the next generation of budding entrepreneurs and enable networking with industry leading figures from Silicon Valley. This is only the second time the event has come to the North and we wish to expand on the success of last year.

This year our speakers include:

Andrew Thompson CEO and Co-Founder of Proteus, a next generation digital health company pioneering the development of products that measure biometrics remotely.

Charlie Songhurst Founder and Partner at Katana capital, previously the head of corporate strategy at Microsoft where he led negotiations on the acquisition and growth of several key areas including the acquisition of Skype.

Jack Kreindler Currently the Founder and Chairman of Sentrian, General Partner and Chief Medical Officer of Frost Data Capital and the Founder and Chief Medical Officer for the Centre for Health and Human Performance (CHHP).

Neil McArthur Currently the Group Innovation Director at Talk Talk, Chairman of the Hamilton Davies Trust and Co-Founder of the Manchester Tech Trust.

Our afternoon event is aimed at the start-up businesses and entrepreneurs of the North to network with successful Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and to be inspired to become entrepreneurs themselves. The event will start with a series of talks and then lead on to small workshops where students can ask questions to the entrepreneur of their choosing. The aim of the workshops is to spark debates about the future of the tech and health industries.
