Case Studies: Bo-Concepts

Overview:

Bo-Concepts is an established promotional space management business who ‘bring space to life’ by offering both indoor and outdoor promotional opportunities for clients as big as Virgin and Sky as well as smaller independent companies.

 

The challenge:

Alison Bowcott, founder of Bo-Concepts, was looking to invest in digital technology for her business. It has been running 10 years, and was at the point where it needed to embrace digital to continue to evolve and grow.

 

The solution:

Business Growth Hub was recommended to Alison by Metronet, an internet service provider in Manchester, who told her about the fully funded advice available from digital specialists. On calling up, she was referred to Rob Sethna from the Digital Growth team, an expert in digital branding and strategy.

 

Over a series of meetings Rob and Alison put together an in depth digital strategy and plan of action, with key milestones and suggested timings for its implementation. Bo-Concepts are currently going through a rebrand, with a new website being created, which will better demonstrate the service that Bo-Concepts have to offer. Bo-Concepts had been using some social media with Twitter, but with Rob’s help they looking to utilise Facebook to generate more customer awareness.

 

In the course of planning this digital strategy, it was also established that their current Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) will not support their future plans. They are in the process of introducing a new system, this will enhance their customer journey and provide real time data and support and enhance sales pipeline.

 

Alison now feels much more confident in using digital technology within her business. “The support I’ve received from Business Growth Hub is going to enable us to transform the business going forward,” she explained.

 

Rob is similarly positive about Bo-Concepts’ new digital approach. “By making better use of digital technology Bo-Concepts can build on their already great reputation by improving communications with current and potential clients,” he added. “It’s been really rewarding helping Alison put together this digital strategy.”

 

For the future, Alison plans to reach a £10,000,000 turnover in the next 5 years. In order to do this she is planning to look at the grants available with the Business Growth Hub to fund the full implementation of the digital strategy that will help her to achieve this.
