Pack and Send Salford Quays
One of the Business Growth Hub’s expert mentors has given packaging and freight forwarding business Pack & Send Salford Quays the confidence to grow.
Pack and Send Salford Quays is based at based at Radclyffe Park, just across the road from Media City in Salford, and is owned and managed by entrepreneur Deborah Dudley. It provides a unique service of packaging and logistics solutions to consumers and business both UK and Worldwide , which means that clients can ‘pack and send anything anywhere.’
Deborah was introduced to the mentoring programme by the Hub’s Access to Finance team, who had helped her find the funding she needed to first get her business off the ground. “I felt I needed some more support establishing the business and since my introduction to the mentoring programme I haven’t looked back,” shared Deborah. “The Hub gave me the support and guidance I needed to ensure the right decisions were being made.”
Mentoring Advisor Gill Millington matched Deborah with Stuart Thompson, a sales and marketing expert with a background in advising directors how to grow their business. He also runs his own successful business coaching company, High Growth Coaching and Mentoring.
This was the first time Deborah had run her own business and Stuart was able to talk through what was involved on a day-to-day basis, as well as helping develop a longer term business strategy. They also discussed effective marketing ideas to promote her services.
Stuart provided a sounding board for her ideas, as well as offering an impartial opinion, which gave Deborah confidence in her plans and left her feeling more secure in turning these ideas into a reality.
“Working with Deborah has been a real pleasure,” said Stuart. “I get immense satisfaction from helping business owners and directors reach their goals. Our aim at High Growth Coaching is to help people and businesses fulfil their highest potential; if they have a fierce desire to grow, we know we can help them deliver results and Deborah demonstrates that desire every time we speak“.
With her new-found confidence, Deborah is now set to move the company forward and is investigating opening up a further branch at Manchester Airport, as well as taking on two new apprentices to help with her business’s growth.
“Reassurance is a key factor when faced with life changing decisions,” continued Deborah. “Stuart has been a first class mentor and sounding board to me. He has given me the confidence to believe in myself and to realise I can be successful.”
