nxo provides a full range of marketing services to an eclectic mix of clients who all have one thing in common: an aspiration to grow and develop. We spoke to Chairman, Philip Dyer, about why becoming a Hub partner was a strategic fit with what nxo do and how they do it.
Philip Dyer set up nxo in 2003 as the UK’s first national strategic marketing network. With their head office in the Northwest, the agency operates across the UK with consultants in Glasgow; Plymouth and in the Southeast. We spoke to Philip about why becoming a Hub partner was a 'strategic fit':
"nxo provide a full range of marketing services, from planning through to execution, helping clients to develop an idea into a plan and also to bring that plan to life; coaching and mentoring being key to this process too. nxo has an eclectic mix of clients from Small Businesses to larger organisations including Blue Chip companies and public sector bodies. The one thing they all have in common is that they all have an aspiration to grow and develop.
"The Business Growth Hub came to our attention via our involvement with the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Programme. This formed our initial connection and we felt collaboration with the Business Growth Hub was a strategic fit with how we at nxo work and what we do. We both work with aspirational businesses, the majority being SME – and we have considerable experience with supporting them to grow.
"As a simple rule we help businesses to understand:
- How to differentiate themselves
- How to segment their market
- How to communicate to those segments
"To achieve all of the above we may employ all or a few of the marketing tools and methods we have at our disposal; from research to design and from print to social media.
"Getting the message to market in the right way really is key to helping SMEs to grow and has never been more important in these tough trading times.
